Job summary

Enjet Aero, LLC in Erie, PA is seeking an EDM operator for a weekend day shift (Fri, Sat, Sun 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM). The role includes a 4-hour bonus to reach 40 hours and a 2 5% shift differential. Training on 1st shift is available. This is a great entry level position for manufacturing.

Job entails operating EDM machines, changing electrodes, reading gauges, and following ISO/Nadcap procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Sinker EDM experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM hole popper machines and set up for production runs.
• Change and set electrodes as needed.
• Read micrometers, calipers, indicators and comparators.
• Use and check various fixtures for accuracy.
• Identify alarm codes and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Start/stop machines and verify smooth operation.
• Understand ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Nadcap requirements.
• Perform daily maintenance using a checklist.
• Verify settings for special process approvals.
• Communicate questions and verify completeness.
• Follow work Instructions and ensure quality.

Position Description:

An EDM operator is needed to operate the hole popper EDM machines. The position is for WEEKEND DAY shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM; working 36 hours and receiving a 4-hour bonus, totaling 40 hours, also includes a 2 5% shift differential. You must be available to train on 1 st shift.

This is a great entry level position if you are interested in working in the manufacturing industry.

• Operate Air Flow System
• Change and set electrodes
• Read micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparator
• Use and check various fixtures
• Identify alarm codes
• Start and stop machine
• Identify and correct machine operational problems
• Know and understand the ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Nadcap procedures and requirements
