Job summary

Accelera is seeking a skilled CNC EDM Machinist to join our Michigan team. You will set up and operate CNC EDM machinery, assist with grinding tasks, and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained to deliver high-quality parts.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading programs, adjusting offsets, selecting tooling, and performing ongoing measurement tasks. You will work nights or weekend shifts per schedule and collaborate with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining with EDM preferred.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Capability to work autonomously while coordinating with engineering and production.

Job description

We are currently seeking skilled CNC EDM Machinists to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC EDM machinery, while also providing assistance with grinding tasks and ensuring all equipment remains properly tooled and serviced.

Available Shifts

• Nights: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend Schedule (Friday through Sunday): 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Core Responsibilities

• Configure and run CNC EDM production equipment.
• Analyze technical drawings, operational guidelines, and quality inspection standards.
• Manage program loading, offset modifications, tooling selection, and ongoing measurement tasks to ensure high-quality output.
• Identify and resolve machining complications while helping to maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient workspace for the entire team.
• Assist with grinding processes and execute standard equipment maintenance and tool replacements.

Required Qualifications

• Background in CNC machining, with a preference for those experienced in EDM technology.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and utilizing precision measurement instruments.
• A meticulous approach to detail and a dedication to upholding safety and quality standards.
• Capacity to function autonomously while effectively coordinating with engineering and production departments.
