Job summary

Decimal Engineering is seeking a skilled CNC Wire EDM Setup Machinist to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate has experience operating CNC machines and a strong understanding of machining processes to produce precision parts.

You will verify materials, set up machines, ensure quality against customer specifications, and maintain documentation while upholding safe, organized work practices. CAD/CAM programming with ESPRIT or CAMWorks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English and read work instructions written in English.
• Hearing correctable to normal; vision 20/30 or better.
• Proficiency in interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and Blueprint Reading.
• Familiarity with CAD software for programming such as ESPRIT, CAMWorks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of machining processes including milling, tooling and electrical discharge machining.

Responsibilities

• Verify raw materials and perform machine setup to achieve first part per customer specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace and comply with company policies.
• Ensure Decimal Engineering workmanship standards are met during production runs.
• Verify job travelers and SFM documentation at start and end of each run.
• Oversee daily operator maintenance scheduling.
• Ensure proper handling and recycling of dissimilar materials.
• Maintain storage and identification of all fixtures.
• Verify runtimes, setup documentation and job traveler accuracy to meet on-time delivery.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule to maintain on-time delivery.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Wire EDM Setup Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines and possess a strong understanding of machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for raw material verification, Machine Setup and any and all adjustments necessary to produce a first pc to Customer Specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment as well as complying with the policy and procedures of the Company Handbook.
• Responsible for ensuring that Decimal Engineering's Workmanship Standards are being met throughout the Production Run.
• Responsible for verification of Job Traveler and SFM documentation at beginning and conclusion of each production run.
• Oversee and ensure daily operator maintenance schedules are being properly completed.
• Oversee that dissimilar materials are being properly handled for re-cycling
• Responsible for the maintenance storage and identification of all fixtures.
• Responsible for the verification of runtimes, setup documentation and Job Traveler accuracy as required to meet on time delivery commitments.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to maintain on time delivery of product
