Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM equipment, loading and unloading components.
• Perform quality checks and maintain inspection tools.

• Coordinate job setups and transfers to maintain flow.
• Monitor material usage and scrap; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a tidy, 5S-aligned workspace.
• Support AS9100 and other quality standards compliance.
• Contribute to team goals and continuous improvement projects.
• Handle additional tasks as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a High School Diploma or a recognized equivalent.
• Capability to manage several machines simultaneously to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
• Knowledge of standard machining procedures and the ability to interpret technical part blueprints.
• Competence in utilizing dial calipers, micrometers, and applying fundamental mathematical skills.
• Requirement to satisfy the ITAR criteria for a US Person.

Core Duties

• Manage EDM equipment operations, including the loading and unloading of components.
• Perform quality checks on parts and ensure all inspection tools remain in good working order.
• Execute routine equipment maintenance and necessary preventative measures.
• Ensure all production logs, travelers, and non-conformance documentation are recorded with precision.
• Coordinate job setups and transitions to keep production flowing efficiently.
• Monitor material usage, scrap rates, and necessary corrective measures to improve output.
• Uphold a tidy and structured workspace by consistently applying 5S methodology.
• Help ensure the facility remains compliant with AS9100 and other relevant quality benchmarks.
• Contribute to the success of collective team objectives and ongoing improvement projects.
• Complete various additional tasks and assignments as requested by management.

Experience and Skills

• Proven track record of success in a machining environment.
• Background in conventional machining tasks such as drilling, turning, and milling is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of grinders, EDM technology, and various measurement instruments.
• Fundamental computer literacy and the ability to maintain clear, accurate work records.
