Job summary

Custom EDM, LLC in San Leandro, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / EDM Machinist to operate and maintain precision machining equipment. The role involves producing high-quality components to exact specifications in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth.

Requirements include 3-5 years CNC machining and programming, 3+ years EDM experience (Sodick a bonus), blueprint reading, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with CNC mills and manual machining.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of CNC Machining & programming experience.
• 3+ years EDM experience (Sodick, etc.) a bonus
• Set up, program, and operate EDM machines (Sodick)
• Strong blueprints readings & GD&T Knowledge
• Proficient in the use of CNC mills as well as manual machining. (Sinker EDM and Wire EDM experience are a big plus)
• Able to maintain close tolerances and be able to achieve a high standard in a production and job shop environment
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and work independently
• Experience with CNC controls (Haas, Okuma, or similar)
• Use and maintain a variety of precision measuring/inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement tools
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards
• Reliable, detailed-oriented, problem-solving and commitment to quality work
• Experience or familiar with various materials (aluminum, steel, stainless, etc.)
• Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Custom EDM, LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / EDM Machinist to operate and maintain precision machining equipment in a fast-paced, challenging and innovative enviroment.This role involves producing high-quality components to exact specifications.

Qualifications / Responsibilities
