Job Duties

The eDiscovery Evidence Technician is responsible for management of the evidence process in support of the Health Care Fraud & Elder Abuse Section’s criminal and civil investigations, prosecutions and litigation. The primary function of this position is to oversee the intake, maintenance, and storage of evidence received by the eDiscovery and Computer Forensics team. Responsibilities will include logging, tracking, scanning and storage of electronic and paper evidence. Duties require handling and maintaining the chain of custody for a variety of electronic document types, paper, and other physical media in an organized and efficient manner. On occasion, the eDiscovery Evidence Technician will work closely with counsel and investigators to assist with evidence collection at offsite locations, including paper scanning and electronic data downloads.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience in data entry.
  • Experience and knowledge using Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with web-based databases.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 45 lbs.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise handling/balancing multiple high priority projects under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Experience in a law firm or litigation support environment.
