Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking an EDI Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance our Electronic Data Interchange systems. The role ensures reliable document exchange with trading partners and requires coordination across IT, customer service, logistics and finance.

You will onboard new trading partners, test EDI transactions, and document mappings. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on EDI experience, familiarity with ANSI X12 standards, SPS Commerce, and Oracle tools, and will contribute

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with EDI systems and processes.
• Familiar with ANSI X12 EDI standards and transaction sets (e.g. 850, 855, 856, 810).
• Experience with EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce, Oracle, and other EDI tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily EDI transmissions to ensure successful and accurate document exchange (e.g., 850,855,856,810).
• Investigate and resolve EDI errors and transmission failures; collaborate with SPS Commerce on mapping issues.
• Coordinate onboarding of new trading partners, including testing and validation of EDI transactions.
• Collaborate with IT, customer service, logistics and finance to resolve EDI-related issues.
• Work with external customers, EDI specialists, and customer service teams.
• Create and maintain detailed EDI documentation, mapping specifications, and communication logs.
• Work with developers, product managers, and contractors to ensure testing and high-quality results.
• Support software updates, configuration changes, and ERP/EDI integration projects.
• Provide technical assistance and training to business users and other IT staff.
