Summary Overview

CGS EDI Functional Consultants combine their industry experience, business process and technical expertise to deliver EDI based integrations to our clients. EDI Functional Consultants are responsible for communicating updates to the Project Manager regarding progress, accomplishments, and project risks. This role requires a consultant to be comfortable in client‑facing environments and be able to communicate on all levels of the project. These team members are responsible for the implementation of EDI based modules of the BlueCherry application and are considered application specialists in this area to our organization and clients alike.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for implementation EDI based solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues with electronic file transfers to identify the root cause and issue resolution
  • Guide client and assist in the onboarding of new EDI partners
  • Collect and document new EDI business requirements, translate them into technical specifications in preparation of implementation
  • Interfaced Trading Partners and 3rd party vendors to ensure successful testing of electronic transactions for existing and new business requirements
  • Conduct business process review meetings with clients to understand requirements for Retail EDI, 3PL, and BlueCherry Electronic Logistics EDI based integrations
  • Implementation projects using standard methodology & industry best practices
  • Document our clients’ current processes and define to‑be processes
  • Configure a customer driven solution to meet our clients’ business objectives
  • Proactively report to project manager and project team on project progress and issues
  • Provide training to client staff on system functional features and capabilities
  • Work with project teams, clients, third‑party vendors, and cross‑functional teams collaboratively

Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • +5 years of experience of managing day‑to‑day EDI operations
  • Solid background of implementing and managing EDI transactions such as: 180, 832, 940, 943, 846, 944, 945, 94
  • Strong Knowledge of CommerceHub, TrueCommerce, Shopify, Amazon
  • Experience with transfer protocols, FTP
  • Proven success in leading, collaborating, and contributing to a team‑oriented environment
  • Determined ability to keep people motivated
  • Recognized ability to work creatively and logically in a problem‑solving environment
  • BlueCherry, ServiceNow, and Lucid chart experience is a plus
