Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Data Exchange Analyst II to triage and support data integration for internal and external partners. You will design workflows, maintain EDI processes, and collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and third-party benefit administrators.

You will identify procedural gaps, work with benefit platforms, and manage data formats like 834 and CSV while ensuring timely delivery and quality. A strong analytical mindset and insurance-domain interest are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Identified and resolved procedural gaps in complex multi-step workflows.
• Experience with Benefit Administration platforms is a plus: Employee Navigator, Workday, Plansource, ADP, Hello Flock, Rippling, Paylocity, etc.
• Strong ability to manipulate data files to create output in formats like 834 and CSV.
• Flexible and capable of handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Experience with API connections (HTTP, REST, Web API).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and teamwork.
• Insurance industry experience is preferred; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust internal workflows.
• Provide day-to-day support to front-line EDI Analysts.
• Coordinate validation of requirements with third-party administrators.
• Troubleshoot data and processing issues for third-party partners and internal teams.
• Develop implementation strategies for different EDI/API connections.
• Act as liaison between business and IT.
• Supply data requirements to third-party administrators and plan holders.
• Engage with administrators to ensure data compatibility with Guardian standards.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers; handle complex calls.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and team meetings.
• Report system-related problems.
