Job summary

Estes Express in Hickory, NC is seeking an experienced EDI Analyst to act as the organization’s internal subject matter expert on EDI projects and inquiries. You will resolve issues, analyze trends, and collaborate with customers and vendors to improve processes.

The role requires strong communication, independence, and teamwork, with knowledge of EDI Translator, ANSI X12, and FTP. Occasional after-hours support and day-to-day operational duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• 3+ years in a similar role; freight industry knowledge desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Customer support experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of EDI Translator and ANSI X12 desirable.
• FTP knowledge desirable.

• Capable of handling high-volume, time-sensitive tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety ops docs.
• Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Resolve EDI issues timely and efficiently.
• Analyze trends and recommend solutions for Coordinator team.
• Provide back-up support to EDI Supervisor.
• Provide subject matter expertise of shipment life cycle and supporting applications.
• Identify improvement opportunities and value-added capabilities.
• Work with EDI Project Manager to drive automation and continuous improvement.
• Respond to EDI customer inquiries on 210, 214, 211, and 204 docs.
• Analyze requirements with customers, vendors and partners.
• Assist onboarding of customers onto the EDI system.
• Troubleshoot EDI issues using VAN and ISeries.
• Collaborate across teams and with customers.
• Train team members on EDI types and platforms.
• Attend meetings with external and internal customers.
• Perform root cause analysis for carrier report cards.
• Monitor and update customer error reports daily.
• Provide support beyond normal business hours.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
