Sift is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead the Edge Systems squad, building a high-performance server and desktop client in Rust. You will guide architecture across server, client libraries, and open-source components while ensuring the team meets aggressive performance benchmarks in extreme environments.

You will mentor engineers, shape the technical roadmap with Product and GTM, and drive rapid delivery.

Formación

• 7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years in a people management role
• Strong Rust development and low-latency systems experience
• Experience leading AI-first teams and AI initiatives
• Experience with real-time data acquisition, high-throughput ingestion, and durable local storage
• Familiarity with cross-platform desktop applications and software deployed on-premises, offline, or in air-gapped environments
• Proven ability to guide teams through ambiguity and act as a force multiplier for engineering talent

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on Sift Edge
• Mentor engineers and accelerate their growth through accountable leadership
• Collaborate with Product and GTM teams to define the technical roadmap for Sift Edge and open-source libraries
• Drive delivery of high-velocity, high-quality features meeting performance and reliability goals in extreme environments
• Establish and refine engineering processes, agile rituals, and AI-enabled development practices
• Contribute to architecture and codebase across server, desktop client, and client libraries
