Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Secure Hybrid Cloud Architect to lead cross-program efforts in cloud and cyber defense. You will apply software, data security, and architecture skills to design and implement mission-critical systems across acquisition and sustainment phases. This role requires deep experience with DAF CLOUDworks, Kubernetes, RMF, and collaboration with government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 10+ years of software experience, including ≥2 years in software architecture for software-intensive systems.
• Proven ability to build effective multidisciplinary teams with government customers and contractors.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Oracle, Google, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on with VMware products like Cloud Foundation and Tanzu Kubernetes.
• Willing to travel ~10% to work location or customer site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large multi-phased DAF CLOUDworks project with hybrid cloud architectures.
• Manage cyber-related deliveries in Government-Owned Cloud environments.
• Interface with program customers to capture requirements and relay updates to leadership.
• Apply senior technical authority in software systems, security, and data strategies.
• Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies to solve needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer leadership and contractors.
• Present technical materials to senior leaders.
• Coordinate with Cloud program office and authorization officials in a badge-less environment.
• Conduct engineering studies, readiness reviews, and technology planning.
