Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform scheduled and remedial service on Small to Medium UPS, Power Distribution Units & Battery systems, primarily for the Edge market segment including retail and municipal accounts. The role emphasizes safety, on-site problem solving, and excellent customer rapport.

Candidates should be comfortable working under supervision or independently after training, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• ASEET or AMEET, or progress towards, is preferred.
• High School or Vocational School Diploma
• 2-4 years military experience in a related technical field
• 0-2 years of relevant industry experience

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks as assigned and as per company policies and procedures
• Capable of working under direct supervision or independently based upon training completion
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers
• Communicate with Technical Support on technical or procedural issues
• Implement Field Change Notices per published guidelines
• Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips
