Job summary

Laminar seeks a PLC Integration Engineer to own network and control-system layers in customer deployments. You will configure PLC connections, commission networks, and troubleshoot integration across factory environments. Travel up to 50% to customer sites is expected for deployment and support.

You will collaborate with customer IT/OT groups and internal software teams to ensure smooth, scalable deployments with hands-on troubleshooting and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols: Ethernet/IP, Modbus (TCP and RTU), PROFINET, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, Python scripting, and Linux command-line fundamentals.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, NTP, TCP/IP stack.
• Able to debug data-flow problems by following a packet trace.
• Portfolio of networking/systems integration projects.
• Strong cross-functional communication across IT, OT, and software teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end network and PLC integration of Laminar’s edge devices into customer OT environments, onsite and remotely.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial protocols to ensure reliable data exchange with PLCs/SCADA.
