Job summary

Meta is seeking an engineer with a Hardware and Data Center background to shape the future of Meta’s Edge Network. You will select, test, and validate new hardware for production use in our edge fleet, and partner with internal teams and external vendors across the evaluation and deployment cycle.

Responsibilities include designing rack-level assemblies, optimizing cooling and power, leading a small team, and driving the hardware roadmap while advancing cost efficiency and performance for

Qualifications

• 8+ years in hands-on software, firmware, or hardware engineering.
• 8+ years across the full hardware development lifecycle from sample evaluation to mass production.
• 8+ years working with server hardware components (CPU, disk, NIC, RAM, GPUs).
• 8+ years experience managing vendor relationships and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers to deliver new server and rack designs.
• Negotiate trade-offs and conflicting requirements across the business.
• Drive evaluation of new server hardware from qualification to production validation.
• Assess rack design features and drive improvements in cooling, power, and safety.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recommend hardware for testing.
• Help design and drive the hardware roadmap.
• Lead a small team of engineers.
