Job summary

Meta’s Edge & Network Services (ENS) team is seeking a Network Infrastructure Design Engineer to develop and deploy scalable connectivity solutions in data centers and colocation facilities. You will design space, power, cooling, and cabling layouts for edge and backbone sites, while coordinating with planning, engineering, and deployment teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years designing and constructing data centers or comparable mission-critical facilities (Edge POPs, backbone sites, carrier hotels, central offices, cable landing stations).
• Ability to read and analyze electrical/mechanical single-line diagrams.
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure design/builds via external colocation vendors with planning, execution, risk management and on-time delivery.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and collaborate across global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages global space, power, cooling, structured cabling, and other inside plant infrastructure delivery for edge/backbone deployments.
• Engages in system-level facility sizing of utilities, switchgear, UPS/DC, PDUs, cooling, and LV power distribution.
• Collaborates with data center providers to meet Meta's standard design requirements.
• Leads site acceptance activities with colocation providers per edge network standards.
• Coordinates multiple projects in parallel and drives on-time completion with vendors.
