Job summary

Meta seeks an engineer with a Hardware and Data Center background to shape the future of Meta’s Edge Network. You will evaluate new hardware, test and validate for production, and work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure performance and cost targets.

This role involves rack-level design, thermal optimization, and ensuring the edge fleet meets software needs. You will guide hardware strategy across multiple projects and stay ahead of industry trends in hardware and AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, CE or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on software, firmware or hardware engineering.
• 8+ years experience across the full hardware development lifecycle.
• 8+ years experience with server hardware components (CPU, disk, NIC, RAM, GPUs).
• 8+ years experience managing vendor relationships and roadmaps.
• Experience adhering to responsible AI practices (risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews).
• Experience on rack-level design with emphasis on improving thermals.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive impact.
• Ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware evaluation and validation efforts across multiple projects.
• Own strategy and execution for hardware space and its success.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors throughout the process.
• Ensure new hardware designs meet software needs within the Edge infrastructure.
