Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Infrastructure Repair Technician to maintain and repair data center infrastructure and equipment. You will troubleshoot hardware issues, perform repairs and component replacements, and manage tickets to ensure timely resolutions in a fast-paced data center environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document all work, monitor queues, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical background in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems on servers, storage systems, and network devices.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components (server hardware, storage, network devices).
• Manage and close tickets with accurate documentation in the ticket portal.
• Participate in root cause analysis with cross-functional teams to address underlying issues.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and escalate when needed.
• Suggest process improvements to optimize efficiency and quality of work.
• Monitor task queues and ticketing system to promptly identify and resolve issues.
• Document all work performed and maintain up-to-date records.
• Maintain inventory of network devices, spare parts, and RMA equipment.
• Participate in training to stay current with technologies.
• Follow safety procedures when working with electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as scheduled.
• Travel up to 15% of the time for operational support and training.
