Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a seasoned product leader to drive the hardware roadmap for NPUs, i.MX NPU IP, and scale-out architectures. You will translate customer needs into silicon specs, steer architecture decisions, and own business cases from BOM to margins, presenting to executives and coordinating across architecture, engineering, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or product strategy for semiconductor or silicon IP, including hardware roadmap ownership.
• Experience defining silicon product specifications: performance targets, memory, power, packaging, process nodes.
• Strong SoC and IP integration understanding; experience guiding IP into a host processor or SoC.
• Familiarity with chiplet architectures and multi-chip interconnect standards (UCIe, BoW).
• Proven track record driving design wins and customer adoption across generations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain multi-generation hardware roadmap across NPUs, i.MX NPU IP, and chiplet-based scale-out architectures.
• Translate customer requirements into silicon product specifications including performance targets, memory, power, I/O, packaging, and process node decisions.
• Drive product definition through architecture reviews and design tradeoffs with silicon architects and engineering leads.
• Own business case for each hardware product: BOM cost, ASP, gross margin, volumes, and NPV; present to executives.
• Lead make-vs-buy-vs-IP-license assessments, including in-memory compute and interconnect IP like UCIe, for new capabilities.
• Define chiplet strategy for scale-out NPU configurations, die partitioning, and multi-chip packages.
• Partner with i.MX, S32 SoC, i.MCU, and RT teams to define NPU IP integration requirements including power domains and memory bandwidth.
• Drive early access and customer sampling programs; gather requirements to feed architecture decisions before freeze.
• Own competitive benchmarking framework and differentiation strategy across form factors, performance, power, cost, safety, and software ecosystem.
• Manage product lifecycle from definition through ramp, sustaining, and EOL, including customer transitions across generations.
• Represent the NPU hardware portfolio to executive leadership, customers, partners, and at industry events.
• Co-own software development with the SW product manager for dNPU and chiplet-based designs.
• Develop end-to-end system solutions and demonstration platforms for developers at industry events.
