Job summary

Efficient Computer is redefining computing with a fabric architecture delivering large energy efficiency gains for AI and general-purpose compute. The Field Application Engineer will bridge customers and our engineering team, guiding design-in and production while crafting reference designs, demos, and training material.

You will work with customers directly, help shape the playbook, and feed findings back to Product and Engineering.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
• 4+ years of embedded software development experience with understanding of embedded hardware.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems; Python for scripting, tooling and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, JTAG/SWD).
• Minimum 2 years of successfully supporting customer product development.
• Experience with embedded software, sensor fusion algorithms, edge AI models, wireless interfaces.
• Experience at semiconductor company or MCU vendor for design-wins support.
• Background in target markets such as industrial IoT, wearables, smart home, medical or defense.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create and present Efficient's technical value proposition to customers from engineers to executives.
• Understand customer applications and system requirements; propose Efficient-based solutions.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers and distributors to secure design-wins and drive them to production.
• Provide hands-on technical support through design cycles from evaluation to debugging and optimization.
• Build custom demos, proofs of concept and benchmarks demonstrating performance and energy advantage.
• Respond to technical inquiries, RFQs and escalations, coordinating with internal engineering.
