Job summary

Badger Technologies, a division of Jabil, is hiring a Computer Vision (CV) and AI Engineer based onsite in Lexington, KY. You will design deep learning models and vision pipelines to audit store inventory, count items, and track merchandise with edge AI deployments.

You will collaborate with ROS engineers and external vendors, refine AI product offerings, and contribute to testing methodologies to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions for dynamic retail environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, neural networks, robotics, and AI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present technical concepts.
• Experience supporting AI systems in customer-facing or field environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and train deep learning models for fine-grained retail product classification.
• Build end-to-end vision pipelines with stitching, rectification, and glare removal for robot cameras.
• Establish semi-automated data annotation pipelines and synthetic data generation techniques.
• Collaborate with vendors and ROS engineers to improve AI robotics solutions.
• Consult on system architectures and assess technical requirements for high-quality products.
