Job summary

Jabil’s Badger Technologies unit seeks an Engineering Lead, Robotics & AI to steer a team building smart robotic systems. You will design, train, and deploy real-time computer vision models and ROS/ROS 2-based control pipelines, integrating AI with edge hardware in an Agile environment.

You will guide data collection, model optimization, and deployment on edge devices, ensuring low latency, high accuracy, and scalable software for production robotics systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• 12+ years of robotics software, computer vision, AI/ML, autonomous systems, or related leadership experience.
• Strong ROS/ROS2 architecture background and production-grade robot systems experience.
• Deep knowledge of 3D vision, point cloud processing, camera calibration, and sensor fusion.
• Experience deploying production AI systems and scalable retraining pipelines (cloud & MLOps).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ROS and CV/AI developers to design, train, and deploy real-time models and robot control pipelines.
• Oversee integration of AI models with hardware; drive feature development, model accuracy, and system latency.
• Own vision pipeline design for real-time object detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D pose estimation.
• Develop new ROS nodes for product enhancements and ensure robust data collection and training workflows.
• Consult on system architectures and requirements to deliver a high-quality product.
