Job summary

Badger Technologies, a Jabil division, is seeking an Engineering Lead for Robotics & AI to drive development of autonomous systems onsite in Lexington, KY. You will lead production-grade robotics software, leveraging ROS/ROS2, computer vision, and ML; manage teams; and scale AI pipelines across cloud platforms.

The role requires 12+ years in robotics/AI with leadership experience, and hands-on work with simulators (Gazebo, Isaac Sim) and real-time Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, AI, ML, or related technical field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in robotics software, computer vision, AI/ML, autonomous systems, or related fields, including leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong background in ROS/ROS 2 architecture and development of production-grade robotic systems.
• Deep knowledge of computer vision and deep learning, including 3D vision, point cloud processing, camera calibration, and sensor fusion (RGB-D, LiDAR, cameras, radar).
• 2 years of people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead robotics software projects and production-grade robotic systems.
• Oversee deployment and scaling of AI systems, with automated retraining pipelines on cloud platforms and MLOps tools.
• Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2 architectures and real-time Linux-based software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust autonomous solutions.
