Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Design Administrator to enable engineering infrastructure, design environments, and automation frameworks for tech vehicles and test chips. You will maintain EDA environments, automate workflows, and support engineers to improve productivity.

The role blends software development, DevOps, EDA tool administration, and customer support, with a focus on scalable, AI-enabled workflows and user experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field, with 5+ years combined experience.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with EDA tools Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, ICV and related physical design tools.
• 2+ years software development experience and scripting with Python, Shell, TCL or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support engineering design environments for layout, verification, and technology development.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
• Deploy, configure, and support EDA tools and environments including Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, ICV.
• Manage GitHub repos, version control, branching, releases and workflows.
• Develop DevOps and CI/CD solutions for engineering and software deployment.
• Create environment wrappers, runset enablement, and workflow automation.
• Troubleshoot user issues related to EDA tools, environments, and access.
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and drive improvements.
