Job summary

Intel Corporation is hiring for an Automation AMHS Equipment Engineer in Hillsboro, OR. You will design and sustain software for automated material handling and storage, supporting wafers and reticles across two Oregon campuses.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across firmware, IT, and manufacturing to maintain high reliability and performance. This on-site position requires flexibility for critical manufacturing schedules and working in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Own, design, develop, test, validate, debug, and sustain software solutions for automated material handling and storage systems for Intel foundry.
• Work with firmware, drivers, operating systems, database platforms, firewalls, and algorithms to enhance system performance.
• Support the integration, installation, qualification, and startup of AMHS and manufacturing equipment.
• Enable automated movement and storage of semiconductor wafers and reticles across our Oregon foundry campuses.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, manage escalations, and drive timely resolution of system events.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with IT services, including Platforms, Networks, and Middleware, to optimize factory operations.
• Integrate new product introductions into factory environments while maintaining existing systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing customers, operations teams, and project stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver automation capabilities.
• Collaborate with factory engineering equipment teams to ensure seamless functionality in fabrication processes.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours to support critical manufacturing.
• Working at heights in permit required confined spaces and over long distances in a cleanroom environment.
• Demonstrated factory business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively work with customers.
