Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and RNs in providing care by performing phlebotomy, transporting patients, monitoring and wound care, Foley catheter insertion, and IV starts where allowed.
• Documents information and communicates observations and patient needs to the RN.
• Processes daily patient charges and related procedures through the EHR.
• Collaborates with physicians to support communications required to facilitate patient care.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment following safety policies and precautions.
• Monitors equipment and coordinates repairs for major malfunctions.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique, including lifting and pushing.
• Provides age-appropriate care and applies age-specific policies and procedures as needed.
