Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care to patients.
• Monitors basic physiological parameters and records vitals.
• Administers treatments and procedures per policy; assists with exams and procedures.
• Assists patients with elimination and specimen labeling/collection.
• Performs POC testing and QA to maintain regulatory status.
• Assists with treatment per orders; documents treatments and activities.
• Communicates effectively with team and patients; respects cultural needs.
• Initiates emergency procedures and maintains patient safety.
• Functions as a team member; supports non-clinical activities.
• Maintains throughput knowledge to maximize patient flow in ED.
