Job summary

Baystate Health in Westfield, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Emergency Department team at Baystate Noble Hospital. You will support medical-surgical and telemetry care, performing essential bedside tasks and vital sign monitoring while working within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BLS CPR certification through AHA.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support and CNA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provided safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with daily living activities, mobility, elimination, and personal care while promoting dignity and safety.
• Monitored vital signs, weights, intake/output and reported significant changes to nursing staff.
• Assisted with treatments, dressing changes, specimen collection and point-of-care testing per hospital policy.
• Provided one-to-one patient observation as needed and responded to emergencies.
• Collaborated with nurses, physicians and the care team with accurate documentation.
