Job summary

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience 1–3 years.
• Proficient reading and writing in English.
• Preferred EMT, ED/Urgent care experience or related military medical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients and monitor vital signs.
• Document weights/heights and patient measurements; report deviations.
• Assist with procedures and phlebotomy; ensure proper patient identification.
• Label and send specimens promptly; maintain EMR documentation.
• Perform POC testing and QA activities to uphold regulatory status.
• Assist with treatments and monitor patient responses to therapies.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Initiate emergency procedures when needed and ensure safety.
• Work as part of the clinical team; support non-clinical tasks as required.
• Maintain throughput initiatives to maximize patient flow in the ED.
• Adhere to safety practices and department policies.
• Keep the lab area compliant with regulatory standards.
