Job summary

Dartmouth Health’s Emergency Department is seeking a PT ED Technician to support patient care in a high-volume Level 1 Trauma Center in NH. You will work rotating 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts across 7 days, assisting RNs with ADLs, vitals, EKGs, and specimen collection while ensuring safety and efficiency in a busy multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities are essential.
• Proficient keyboarding and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under RN supervision (ADL, vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Apply splints/immobilizers and remove IVs after competencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and restock rooms/equipment.
• Assist visitors, volunteers, and family members; mentor new staff.
• Monitor patients needing close observation or restraints/seclusion as needed.
• Perform clerical functions (phones, faxes, critical communications) and document in EMR.
• Manage patient health information and electronic medical records.
• Perform other duties as required.
