Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for full-time night shifts. The role supports nurses and physicians in the ED/urgent care, performing essential clinical and operational tasks.
Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, obtaining vital signs, applying basic dressings, collecting specimens, transporting patients, and covering unit secretary duties when needed.
Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) - Full Time
Schedule: 72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour Night Shifts (including weekends)

Our hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including 24-hour emergency care, robotic surgery, prenatal services with NICU support, and outpatient rehabilitation.
As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will play a vital role in supporting patient care within the emergency department or urgent care setting. Working under the supervision of nurses and physicians, you will assist with essential clinical and operational tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
Perform patient care tasks, including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and simple dressings and splints
Collect stool and urine specimens
