Job summary

Scripps Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to support patient care in the emergency department or urgent care setting at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. You will work under the supervision of nurses and physicians, assisting with essential clinical and operational tasks to help deliver efficient, high-quality care.

As an ED Tech, you will help with patient care activities, document vital signs, assist with procedures, and support unit secretary duties as needed.

• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform patient care tasks, including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and simple dressings and splints
• Collect stool and urine specimens
• Transport patients as needed
• Provide coverage for unit secretary duties when needed

Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) – Full Time

Schedule: 72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour Day shifts (including weekends)
