Job summary

ServingSchools in Biddeford, Maine is seeking a Special Education - Education Technicians II to support classroom learning and reinforce instruction. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in classroom support or working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) with fingerprints required by the Maine Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
• Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
• Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
