Sentara Health is hiring an ED Technician for its Charlottesville, VA site with rotating shifts. The role supports physicians and nurses in delivering emergency/minor emergency care, performing procedures under supervision, and utilizing de-escalation and safety intervention training.

Qualified candidates will have a HS Diploma or Equivalent and may qualify via EMT-B certification, Military Hospital Corps School, or current clinical program enrollment; 1 year healthcare experience is preferred.

Flexi scheduleThe ED Technician assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.New hires must have one of the following in addition to the minimum education:1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR3.
