Sentara Independence is currently hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join the team. The ED Tech assists physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses in implementing care plans for emergency and minor emergency patients.

Typical tasks include starting IVs, performing EKGs, point-of-care testing, blood cultures, vital signs, and arrival prioritization, while stocking and supporting the ED team. Compensation is market-competitive with base pay and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire, or Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates or current students enrolled in a clinical program (RN, LPN, Respiratory, PT).
• Candidates with prior Sentara ED tech experience in the past two years will be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.

FT (36hrs) - Weekend Days (Fri-Sun) - 7a-7p

An ED Tech Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.

In this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team.

Job Requirements/Certifications:

• Required: Clinical - <1 year

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
