Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the night shift. This full‑time, rotating weekend/holiday role supports the RN by assisting with daily living activities and basic patient care for non‑critical patients.

Requirements include High School Diploma, EMT or CNA, BLS within 30 days, medical terminology knowledge, and basic arrhythmia interpretation. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or CNA, if required by the State.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Schedule: Nights, 7p-7a, full-time, rotating weekends and holidays

Facility: Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center

Location: Joliet, IL 60435

Responsibilities

The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
