Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver professional care to ED patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the health team to ensure patient safety and efficient flow. The nurse triages, prioritizes, and responds to clinical changes with initiative and responsibility.

The role requires an active Arkansas RN license, BLS on hire, ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within 90 days, and TNCC within 1 year, with vaccines mandatory and E-Verify

Job description

Job Objective/Summary:

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is to provide professional care while assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of Emergency Department patients, by providing direct and indirect care through the continued utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other health team members. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with a minimum of supervision. To triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with Emergency Department physician about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience:

Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as a RN in the state of Arkansas. Must have BLS upon hire. ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within 90 days. TNCC within 1 year.
