Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare in Arkansas is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide professional care for a group of ED patients, following the nursing process in collaboration with the health team. You will triage safely, rapidly, and accurately upon entry and communicate changes in patient status to ED physicians.

The role requires an Arkansas RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within specified timeframes and TNCC within one year.

Qualifications

• Must hold Arkansas RN license in good standing.
• Must have BLS on hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS within 90 days. TNCC within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care using the nursing process in collaboration with the health team.

Job description

Job Objective/Summary: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is to provide professional care while assuming responsibility and accountability for a group of Emergency Department patients, by providing direct and indirect care through the continued utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with other health team members.Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with a minimum of supervision.To triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system.Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.Communicates with Emergency Department physician about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies.Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience:Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as a RN in the state of Arkansas. Must have BLS upon hire. ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within 90 days. TNCC within 1 year.
