Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department is a Level IV trauma-designated unit with 28 beds, delivering around-the-clock care to all ages. The RN provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, coordinating admissions, discharges and education, while supporting a fast-track area and behavioral health intake when needed.

The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered education, care planning, and collaboration with the ED team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Basic life support—certificate to be provided within 30 days of hire if not already held.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through assessment, treatment, and care coordination.
• Conduct nursing rounds and perform ongoing patient evaluations.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Deliver patient and family education and support individualized care planning.

Education

Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing
