Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds and around-the-clock care for patients of all ages. The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, coordinating care, education, and individualized planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The RN role emphasizes creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness and upholding the department's standards in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Basic life support—completion within 30 days of hire if not already held.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient, fostering an environment focused on healing and wellness.
