Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN, 2nd shift coverage in a Level IV trauma designated unit with 28 beds. The RN delivers compassionate, evidence-based care, coordinates admissions, transfers and discharges, and educates patients and families to support healing and safety.

The RN will perform rounds, assessments, treatments, and care planning, while collaborating with the ED team to manage diverse pediatric to geriatric cases and behavioral

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky RN licensure or work permit.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Basic life support: must provide certification within 30 days if not already held.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assess and provide direct patient care on the unit.
• Perform nursing rounds, treatments, and care coordination.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Provide patient and family-centered education and care planning.
