Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking an ED Clinical Patient Ambassador to collaborate with the care team in the Emergency Department. You will proactively greet patients and families, answer questions, and help expedite care while ensuring comfort and safety.

The role involves communicating with ED physicians and staff, educating families on the ED process, and bringing patient or family concerns to resolution for a superior experience.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication with patients, families and coworkers.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to listen attentively.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in the ED and provide information about processes.
• Answer patient/family questions, alert on test status and bed availability.
• Support ED clinicians and staff to facilitate timely care and patient comfort.
