Crisp Regional Health Services is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role supports nursing staff, monitors patient condition, and operates medical equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities include assisting with basic care, collecting specimens, obtaining EKG readings, and ensuring safety for behavioral health patients.
Under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director and the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Patient Care Technician provides culturally sensitive, developmentally appropriate patient care. The Patient Care Technician works under close supervision of a licensed nurse and performs a variety of basic patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs of patients.
Basic Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma in General Studies or a GED state certification.
No required work-related experience. Experience with venipuncture and obtaining EKGs preferred.
Requires and maintains a certification in Basic Life Saving (BLS). (If BLS certification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within the orientation period.)
