Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the Emergency Department. The role supports doctors and nurses, assisting with daily patient needs and monitoring vital signs in a fast-paced ED setting.

The position requires a HS diploma and current BLS, with preferred strong communication, compassion, teamwork and computer data management skills. Join a leading nonprofit health system with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfers, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
