Job summary

Atlantic Health's AMG Hematology/Oncology in Morristown, NJ seeks a Patient Care Technician I for a full-time day shift. The role supports patient care through vital signs, mobility assistance, EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine nursing tasks under RN supervision.

You will prepare examination rooms, document patient data, and maintain equipment while communicating changes in a diverse patient population. Requires high school diploma; BLS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS preferred upon hire; required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights.
• Assist patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, accommodations as needed.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed.
• Take patient histories, prepare examination rooms, and help with minor procedures.
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Document patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
