Job summary

Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, FL, is hiring an Emergency Department Paramedic to provide and document patient care in a fast-paced trauma and acute care setting. You will perform advanced patient assessments, airway management, and participate in orthopedic stabilization under physician supervision.

The role requires completion of a paramedic program, Florida PMD license, and current BLS/Healthcare Provider, ACLS, with PALS to be obtained within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Current Florida Paramedic (PMD) license, renewed every 2 years.
• Current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
• ACLS certification current; PALS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care in the Emergency Department as directed by the Nursing Operations manager or designee.
• Maintains communication of patient condition to the supervising clinician.
• Complies with Orlando Health policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintains readiness of ED equipment and supplies and supports safe patient handling.
