Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an Emergency Department Paramedic to join our ED care team. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to deliver high‑quality emergency care, support patient throughput, and participate in patient handoffs from arrival to discharge.

Qualifications

• Registered EMT-Paramedic with active Wisconsin license and National Registry.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required.
• At least 2 years of emergency care experience in pre-hospital or hospital settings.
• Ability to work in mass casualty events and maintain composure in crises.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED staff with delegated direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Provide care within the defined scope of practice and perform required procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout the ED stay and reassess frequently.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and support care handoffs.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied staff to ensure efficient throughput.
