Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin seeks an Emergency Department Paramedic to join the ED care team, delivering high-quality acute care across all ages with physicians, nurses, and therapists. You will work within the full scope of practice and participate in continuous patient flow improvements.

You will perform critical tasks, monitor patients, and document care in the EMR, while contributing to a collaborative, safety-focused environment and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
• Wisconsin Paramedic License is required.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years emergency care experience.
• Ability to handle mass casualty events.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED staff with delegated patient care tasks.
• Provide care within scope of practice per legal definition.
• Care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Perform intubation, meds administration, bedside procedures.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Monitor and reassess patients throughout ED stay.
• Document care in electronic medical record.
