Under supervision of a nurse, you will assist with admissions, discharges, and daily care tasks, while handling clerical and supply duties to keep the unit running efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or currently enrolled in a high school or GED program.
• CNA license or have completed an unlicensed personnel training program.
• Emergency medical technician, medical assistant, or surgical technician training documented.
• Minimum 18 months in a relevant patient care role.

Responsibilities

• Prepares admissions, transfers and discharges; secures IV pumps; zeros beds; updates white boards.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment; manages equipment and infection control; reports damaged/malfunctioning equipment.
• Document daily duties: hygiene, vital signs, nutrition, weight/height, ambulation, fingerstick blood sugar, input/output.
• Responds to call lights promptly; communicates with nurses and shifts; preserves confidentiality.
• Enter orders and charges accurately into the computer system.
• Prioritizes tasks; works independently and supports the nurse and care team.
