Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. in Lexington, KY seeks a Monitor Technician for the Emergency Department night shift.

The role provides continuous observation of cardiac rhythms and vital signs, with timely reporting of abnormalities to the nursing team to ensure patient safety. Responsibilities include monitoring the cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure, maintaining equipment, and assisting providers with related procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year's experience.
• RN License, LPN or monitor tech experience (substitute for degree).
• Dysrhythmia courses completed during orientation and recertified annually.
• BLS certification required; if not, obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and document notable changes.
• Observe cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation and blood pressure; maintain equipment and supplies.
• Document and communicate patient rhythms, saturations, and blood pressures.
• Identify arrhythmias or significant changes from baseline and report to supervisor or health care team members.
• Assist providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures and related procedures.
